- Title: On the framework of Otto’s calculus.
- Abstract:
I will talk about the framework of the Otto calculus which is sort of a “spirit” for doing some variational calculus on the space of probability measures( so called the Eulerian calculus ) and is to regard the space as an “infinite dimensional Riemannian manifold” as i understood so far.
Along the spilit of the Otto calculus and Lott’s paper in 2009, a formal and so a simple proof of the monotonicity of Wasserstein distance along heat flows will be presented.
