アブストラクト： We construct the scattering theory for the Laplacian on symmetric spaces of noncompact type. We study an asymptotic expansion for the Poisson operator and the resolvent of the Laplacian. Our approach is based on precise analysis for the Helgason Fourier transform and generalized spherical functions on symmetric spaces of noncompact type.
